Ingredients

guava jelly (17 ounce jar) 3⁄4 cup
tequila 1⁄2 cup
lime juice, fresh 1 teaspoon
lime zest 1⁄2 cup
Brown sugar 1 tablespoon
ginger (minced) 1⁄2 teaspoon
ground cumin 2 teaspoon
garlic (minced) 1⁄4 teaspoon
SaltInstructions
Mix all ingredients in a sauce pan. Bring to boil. Stir often, remember this is mostly sugar, it’ll burn quick. Reduce to simmer and let reduce for about 25-30 minutes till it’s like warm maple syrup. Strain out solids and pour over finished ribs.
Notes
I've found that adding this glaze as a finishing sauce on the table works best. Although a quick coating and a few seconds on a hot grill gives a nice candy carmelization to the glaze.
Also, it seems to match up really well with Southern Pork Rub.
