Bacon, Danno


Number of Servings: 24 Dannos
Prep Time:  30 Minutes

Cook Time:  2 Hours

12 slices of bacon
24 chunks of fresh pineapple
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 dash Paprika


Cut the bacon strips in half
Cook the bacon to about 75% done (I smoke on the Traeger for about 2 hours)
Wrap a slice of bacon around a chunk on pineapple
Secure bacon in place with a toothpick
Dunk the Danno into the maple syrup and place on a med-hot grill with indirect heat (or a Traeger at 350)
When sugars caramelize, the Danno is done!

OK, bear with me. Pineapple = Hawaii = Hawaii Five-O = “Book’em, Danno” + “Bacon = “Bacon, Danno”
