Ingredients

  • 6 Jalapeno Peppers (halved lengthways and cleaned out)

  • 3/4 cup Cream Cheese

  • 1 Cup Milk

  • 1 Cup Flour

  • 1 Cup Panko

  • 1/2 Cup Italian Breadcrumbs

  • 1 Tsp Salt

  • Oil for frying

Directions

  • Mix the Breadcrumbs, Panko and salt (and any other seasonings you may want)
  • Fill each jalapeno shell with ~1 Tablespoon of cream cheese
  • Dunk the popper in milk, roll in flour and set aside on a wire rack to dry. About 10 minutes.
  • Dunk the popper in the milk again, roll it in the panko mix, set aside to dry, about 10 minutes.
  • Again, dunk the pepper back into the milk, back into the panko and set aside to dry once again.
  • Fry in hot oil (350 degrees) for 5 minutes.
  • Drain on paper towel and enjoy!
  • BE CAREFUL: THEY ARE GOING TO BE SUPER HOT!!

Notes

  • I mixed some green onions into the cream cheese, but you can add whatever you want. Sharp cheddar, bacon, onions…anything!
