In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
Fold in the chopped dill pickles, pickle juice, fresh dill, garlic, and black pepper until evenly combined.
Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more pickle juice or pepper if desired.
Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes
Drain the pickles very well to prevent the spread from becoming watery. Serve on crackers, bagels, burgers, or as a sandwich spread. For extra tang, add a splash more pickle juice just before serving.
