Ingredients

  • 5 tbsp paprika
  • 3 tbsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp white pepper
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper

Method

  1. Measure all spices into a mixing bowl or jar.
  2. Whisk or shake thoroughly until evenly combined.
  3. Transfer to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place.
  4. Use as needed to season gumbo, meats, vegetables, soups and stews. Start with 1–2 teaspoons per serving and adjust to taste.

Notes

Blend keeps several months in an airtight container away from heat and light. Adjust cayenne to taste for more or less heat.
