A homemade dry Greek seasoning blend with oregano, basil, garlic, and other classic Mediterranean herbs—great as a rub or general-purpose seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 4 tsp sea salt
  • 4 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 tsp dried basil
  • 4 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 2 tsp dried rosemary minced
  • 2 tsp dried dill weed
  • 2 tsp dried marjoram
  • 1 tsp ground thyme
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Method

  1. Use a mortar and pestle to break down the dried rosemary, or finely chop it with a knife to reduce large bits.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly until evenly blended.
  3. Store the seasoning in an airtight container (mason jar recommended). Shake well before each use.
