Ingredients
- 2 TBSP olive oil
- 3 clove garlic medium, minced
- 2 TBSP dried oregano
- 1/4 TSP red pepper flakes
- 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
- 1 TSP granulated garlic
- 1 TSP granulated onion
- 1 TBSP sugar
- 1 TSP MSG
- salt to taste
Method
- Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add minced garlic, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes; cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, granulated garlic, granulated onion, and sugar; stir to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook until reduced to about 3 cups, about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Season with salt to taste. Use immediately on pizza or as a marinara for pasta, or cool and store.
