Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil

  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 6 large garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 1/4 pounds (600 grams) large shrimp prawns, shelled with tails on or off

  • Salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste

  • 1/4 cup rich chicken broth

  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Directions

  • Add the oil and 2 TBS of butter to the pan at a medium heat
  • Add garlic and sautee for a couple of minutes, should be very fragrant
  • Add shrimp, season with S&P
  • Cook for 1 minute, then flip for one minute
  • Add chicken stock and red pepper flakes, simmer to reduce liquids by half
  • Add lemon juice, remaining butter and parsley
  • remove from heat immediately

Notes

  • This fed our family of 5 nicely with no leftovers.
  • Costco sells 2 pound bags of shrimp that we use
  • We like with more butter and served over rice
